Fera Aspects

These are the aspects available to fera. Each aspect has both passive benefits which always apply, and additional benefits that are obtained only when actively shifted into.

Aspect of the Alpha

Passive: The fera adds half his level to all saves against mind-affecting effects.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 bonus to Strength and Charisma. He also gains the Frightful Presence ability. Opponents who have less HD than the fera are frightened for 2d6 rounds if they fail their save; opponents with the same or more HD are instead shaken for the same duration. He can suppress his Frightful Presence as a free action.

Aspect of the Behemoth

Passive: The fera gains the Powerful Build trait.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera and his equipment increase by one size category, with a corresponding +4 bonus to Strength and Constitution and -2 penalty to Dexterity. Any equipment that leaves his possession returns to its original size when he does.

Aspect of the Fallen

Passive: The fera is under a continuous Speak with Dead effect; however, he may only ever ask one question per two levels of any given corpse.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 bonus to Wisdom and Charisma, and the fera becomes partially incorporeal. All damage he takes is reduced by 25%, unless the source specifically damages incorporeal creatures. In addition, he can “phase” through solid objects as he moves; however, every square of such movement counts as difficult terrain and inflicts 1d6 nonlethal damage. If he falls unconscious while occupying the same square as a solid object, he is shunted to the nearest empty space.

Aspect of the Fury

Passive: The fera gains two primary claw attacks dealing 1d4 damage, replacing his slam attack. He can attack with both of his claws as part of a a standard attack. If the fera has a single hand free, he can only attack with one claw; if both hands are occupied, he cannot make claw attacks.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 to Dexterity and Strength. His claw damage increases by a step, and he may make an additional primary attack each round. However, all attacks that he makes while shifted are at a -2.

Aspect of the Lurker

Passive: The fera secretes a poison that deals 1d6 initial and secondary damage to one physical ability score (chosen at character creation and unchangeable). He can produce three doses of poison each day; this poison can be automatically applied to any successful natural attack, or harvested for application to a weapon or other uses. The poison lasts for one day after extraction, after which it is no longer potent. The save DC is 10+1/2 his level+his Constitution modifier (determined when the poison is harvested).
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 bonus to Dexterity and Wisdom. He gains tremorsense to 30ft, and as a swift action can render a single opponent within 30ft flatfooted until struck by an attack or the start of his next turn.

Aspect of the Pack

Passive: The fera can doubles any bonuses he grants from the aid another action, and can do so as a free action once per round.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +2 bonus to Strength, Constitution, and Dexterity. He creates a duplicate of himself adjacent to his position, which shares all of his equipment, abilities, and knowledge. Each round, either one of the two may act normally, while the other may only take a single standard, move, or swift action. The two share hit points, and any condition that affects one affects the other. Abilities that target both or catch both in their area effectively affect the fera twice. Likewise, any limited use character or magic item abilities are also shared – reading a scroll or consuming a potion causes that on the other to become inert, and a duplicated wand has a single set of charges. When the shifting ends, the fera chooses which duplicate remains; the other, and all equipment that was on that person when the shifting began, crumbles to dust.

Aspect of the Predator

Passive: The fera gains a primary bite attack dealing 1d8 damage, as well as the scent ability.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 bonus to Strength and Constitution. His bite attack becomes a primary attack, and he gains the pounce ability.

Aspect of the Strider

Passive: The fera’s movement speeds increase by 10ft.
Shifted: While shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 bonus to Dexterity and Constitution. His movement speeds double (replacing the 10ft increase), and he can make an additional 5ft step each round, regardless of whether he has moved or already taken a 5ft step.

Aspect of the Warden

Passive: The fera gains natural armor equal to half his level (rounded up).
Shifted: While shifted into this aspect, the fera gains a +4 bonus to Strength and Wisdom, as well as fast healing equal to his level whenever he is below half health. He can instead direct this healing towards any creature adjacent to him at the start of each of his turns, if he so chooses, though the creature must be below half health to benefit.

Aspect of the Watcher

Passive: The fera has Darkvision, and is considered to be taking 5, instead of taking 0, on his passive Notice checks.
Shifted: When shifted into this aspect, the Fera gains a +4 to Wisdom and Constitution. He gains Blindsense to 60ft and Blindsight to 30ft.
