Racial Traits

  • Acrobatics, Bluff, Cultures, Disguises, and Escape Artistry are always class skills.
  • Change Appearance (Su)
    The changeling can alter her appearance as a full-round action. This functions as the Craft Disguise ability of the Disguises skill, except for the time required and that no ranks in Disguise or disguise kit are necessary. She also gains the +5 bonus to her check for using a form-altering ability. This an actual physical change, not a disguise or illusory effect; however, only the changeling’s person is affected, not her clothes or belongings. Another changeling will automatically recognize her as an imposter, though they cannot necessarily see her true form. Any contact with cold iron ends this effect; otherwise, it lasts until the changeling dismisses it, uses it again, or dies. Changelings with 4 or 6 ranks in Disguises can instead have this ability function as the Cunning Disguise or Masterful Disguise abilities, respectively.
  • Quick Change
    At 3rd level, the changeling can use her Change Appearance ability as a swift action.
  • Change Shape (Su)
    At 5th level, the changeling can use Alter Self at will as a full-round action. Like her Change Appearance ability, other changelings automatically recognize her as her true kind, and this lasts until dismissed (whether willingly, or through death or contact with cold iron) or used again.
